Melbourne Rebels back Jason Woodward has agreed to a two-year deal with the Hurricanes, allowing him to pursue a childhood dream of playing for the All Blacks.
Woodward, 24, who became the Rebels' all-time leading scorer during Saturday night's 37-10 loss to the Brumbies, will play out the last three games of the Super rugby season with Melbourne.
"Wellington is home for me and having the chance to be closer to family and friends was a big part of the decision," Woodward said. "There are a few personal family matters, but also this decision allows me to follow my dream.
"I have always wanted to be an All Black."
