Woodcock suffered the injury in the All Blacks' 27-19 victory over the Wallabies in Sydney on Saturday.
Crusaders prop Wyatt Crockett will take his place in the number one jersey. Crockett's last test was also at Eden Park against the Wallabies, in a Tri-Nations match which resulted in a 30-14 victory for the home side.
The All Blacks team to face the Wallabies is named on Thursday morning.
Australia were dealt an injury blow yesterday when it was confirmed openside flanker David Pocock would miss this weekend's clash after suffering damage to the articular cartilage in his right knee.
