KEY POINTS:
The All Blacks will put out a greatly altered side for their next test against Scotland as they look to protect their A-graders for the tough home slog on this expedition.
Scotland are expected to be the least combative of the Home Unions before tests on successive weekends against Ireland, Wales and England.
"There is a big challenge at the end of the tour and we need to be fresh, while there is also Ireland in the middle," forwards coach Steve Hansen said as a pointer to the selection changes. "Somewhere along the way we are going to have to change because no one can play five big tests in a row, people need to understand that."
Temporary replacement prop Greg Somerville would fly home with the injured hooker Andrew Hore while props like John Afoa and Ben Franks were now fit for selection this week.
Players most likely to get a run this week must be those like Joe Rokocoko, Richard Kahui, Andy Ellis, Scott Waldrom, Jason Eaton, Anthony Boric, Ross Filipo and Jamie Mackintosh.
English referee Wayne Barnes will control his first All Blacks test since the tournament quarterfinal with France at Cardiff last year.
