The All Blacks have delayed naming their team to play South Africa in the second Tri-Nations test until Thursday morning.
Players under injury clouds have caused the delay.
Halfback Jimmy Cowan (strained abdomen) and winger Joe Rokocoko (hamstring strain) will undergo medical checks later in the week.
Loose forward Victor Vito is still nursing a calf injury.
"Richard Kahui's shoulder injury has ruled him out of this weekend's Test, but we are postponing the announcement of the team till Thursday to give the medical staff more time to assess the fitness of the other players." said coach Graham Henry.
Kahui has left the All Blacks team and returned home.
