Ryan Crotty 7 Often in harmony, never the soloist. Busy test and hauled down Roberts to prevent try.
Julian Savea 6 Started by spilling a long Welsh kick and couldn't find the party. Didn't justify recall.
Beauden Barrett 9 Poor Wales were no match for Barrett's whirling legs. Two terrific tries, and also goal kicked well. Even a charge down. Shifted to fullback.
Aaron Smith 9 The commanding live wire. Big passes created tries. Pinpoint bombs. Candidate as NZ's greatest halfback, ever.
Kieran Read 8 Led the defence including series of outstanding lunging tackles. Not so much with the ball.
Sam Cane 7 Marked down here for rash of penalties/yellow card, but strong game all over the park.
Elliot Dixon 5 Quiet debut. Largely anonymous and lost the ball on one of his few runs.
Brodie Retallick 8 Couldn't keep him out of the game. One dropped ball. Patchell certainly felt a tackle.
Sam Whitelock 7 Kick off receptions but not huge involvement or stellar moment.
Charlie Faumuina 7 Owen Franks lives. No ball running, which is his trademark. Scrummed and tackled well instead.
Dane Coles 8 Got to love his free range style. Loads of tackles, fine grab and gap run for try, one wonky throw.
Joe Moody 7 Produced one of the great scrum sights ever, popping Francis onto the Welsh pack.
RESERVES
Codie Taylor (Coles, 71m) 5 Token appearance as match deteriorated at the end.
Wyatt Crockett (Moody, 52m) 6 Lacked usual impact. One amazing turnover. Scrum maintained clear edge.
Ofa Tu'ungafasi (Faumuina, 52m) 5 Anonymous around the field. Scrum worked pretty well.
Luke Romano (Retallick, 65m) 5 A couple of familiar barges, little else.
Liam Squire (Dixon, 54m) 8 Storming test intro. Three big runs, big part in Coles try and hunted in defence.
Tawera Kerr-Barlow (A. Smith, 71m) 5 The trouble is, nothing compares to Aaron Smith.
Lima Sopoaga (Crotty, 54m) 6 Sharp hands except when he had a try chance unfortunately.
Waisake Naholo (Moala, 48m) 5 A centre? One fine turnover, some runs, but the mistakes keep coming.

Rhys Patchell 5 A try saving tackle on Ben Smith but generally frail and Dagg ran around him.
Liam Williams 9 Stunning defensive moments and brilliant turnover in over-run side. Ran bravely without getting far. Terrific series.
Jonathan Davies 5 Tackle misses including big one on Moala.
Jamie Roberts 5 Midfield carthorse ploughed through Coles and Cane in Wales' best attacking moment. Little else.
Hallam Amos 4 A stop gap not up to this level. Couldn't stop Smith try, skinned by Barrett for another.
Dan Biggar 5 Bumped early by Savea, missed Barrett on try run. Looked a bit gun shy this time.
Rhys Webb 6 Tough job behind struggling pack, couple of battling runs..first test remains the highlight.
Taulupe Faletau 6 Got hold of the ball but went sideways or nowhere. Too much ball carrying hope on his shoulders.
Sam Warburton 5 Little inspiration from the well respected captain.
Ross Moriarty 6 Ditto the previous tests. Has the heart, but other muscles need pumping up.
Alun Wyn Jones 6 One excellent late offload, not a lot else.
Luke Charteris 6 Put himself about as they say without doing much damage.
Tomas Francis 5 Popped skywards in infamous scrum moment, but came back well in one defensive scrum.
Ken Owens 8 Put in a top shift around field and tried to take the game to All Blacks. Even tackled Barrett.
Rob Evans 7 Decent game but as general front row comment, Wales needs more scrum power.
RESERVES
Scott Baldwin (Owens, 56m) 4 No impact, or much else.
Aaron Jarvis (Evans, 46m) 5 Solid effort when Wales needed spectacular work from somewhere.
Samson Lee (Francis, 46m) 4 Looks more like a starting prop.
Jake Ball (Charteris, 59m) 6 Along with Davies, the reserve who tried to make a difference. Some strong carries.
Ellis Jenkins (Warburton, 69m) 4 A tough debut series.
Gareth Davies (Webb, 54m) 6 Ran in right direction, didn't give much direction. A tough ask with game already gone.
Rhys Priestland (Biggar, 58m) 4 Nothing of note as game crawled to messy end.
Scott Williams (Roberts, 53m) 5 Earlier than expected chance. Clean defence, little threat.
