Julian Savea 4
The Bus was a passenger. Poor touchline defence. Hooked early. Try leap but should be grounded.
Aaron Cruden 7
Like a lot of players, a mixed bag and goal kicking still unconvincing. Top moments and started to hum.
Aaron Smith 7
Scruffy game at times and struggled to find his flow. Sniped through the middle well as All Blacks got on top.
Kieran Read 8
Terrific overall...the works burger. One great hit on Roberts. Captaincy survived a moderate test.
Sam Cane 5
Nondescript. Seemed to play as a link man. Huge boots to fill, loud footsteps behind him.
Jerome Kaino 7
Crunching test in the trenches. The World Cup star remains the pack iron man.
Brodie Retallick 8
Worth a 9 but for big missed tackle on Liam Williams. Huge motor. Blossomed on attack.
Luke Romano 7
Also missed Liam Williams, but amongst the first half best with lots of muscular charges.
Owen Franks 6
Led the tidiest scrums in test history. Not much else.
Dane Coles 8
Brilliant lineout throwing vital. Lots of tackles. No trademark magic moment.
Joe Moody 6
Ditto for Franks in scrum stalemate. Has more to give with the ball.
Reserves
Nathan Harris (Coles, 71m) 5
Clung on to ball for a try.
Wyatt Crockett (Moody, 48m) 7
A stunning offload, and decent impact.
Charlie Faumuina (Franks, 45m) 6
Not enough ball running.
Patrick Tuipulotu (Romano, 52m) 7
Lineout steal and feed for Read try helped secure the win.
Ardie Savea (Cane, 60m) 7
The power surge. Get ready for the Cane v Savea debate.
TJ Perenara (A. Smith, 68m) 5
Had try rubbed out and one ponderous pass.
Beauden Barrett (J. Savea, 42m) 7
Twinkle toes made a difference. Fullback start calls.
Seta Tamanivalu (Fekitoa, 74m) 6
Looked quite likely on limited chance.

Liam Williams 8
Fabulous running - went for gaps and found a few. Created the Webb try. Ended up hobbling.
George North 8
Some errors but the big man was a constant threat going past and through defenders.
Jonathan Davies 6
The midfield monsters did an okay job but a bit more craft wouldn't go amiss.
Jamie Roberts 6
Part of the Red Wall. Ditto for Davies.
Hallam Amos 5
Neat work to create first try but looked out of his depth after that.
Dan Biggar 7
Stood up to a physical pounding, ran the show pretty well, one miracle mark...goalkicking a bit off.
Rhys Webb 8
One of the stars of the show. Got Wales into the fight, clever touches.
Taulupe Faletau 7
Decent test, plenty of tackles, but key strike weapon needed to do more with the ball if Wales were to upset.
Sam Warburton 6
Not a great night for the starting openside flankers. Scrapped away.
Ross Moriarty 7
One of the best workers in the test without setting the world on fire.
Alun Wyn Jones 5
Got his hands on the ball but static and no lineout attack.
Bradley Davies 5
Hard to spot.
Samson Lee 6
Solid test - Welsh scrum was solid.
Ken Owens 6
Vigorous game but lineout wasn't 100 per cent.
Gethin Jenkins 7
The veteran flung himself into the game, scrum solid, nailed Cruden.
Reserves
Scott Baldwin (Owens, 64m) 5
One lineout lost.
Rob Evans (Jenkins, 64m) 6
Got involved but low impact and dropped ruck ball near All Blacks goal line.
Tomas Francis (Lee, 71m) 5
Token change.
Jake Ball (B.Davies, 71m) 4
Also got an earlier chance when Jones had concussion check. Zero impact.
Ellis Jenkins (Warburton, 71m) 5
Hard to impress on debut with Wales holding their bench back.
Gareth Davies (Webb, 71m) 5
Only needed when impressive Webb tired.
Gareth Anscombe (Williams, 64m) 4
Not a glorious return to Eden Park. Is he test class? Jury still out.
Scott Williams (Roberts, 64m) 4
Wales lost the battle of the bench.
