Ma'a Nonu is set to turn down a switch to the rugby league and re-sign with the New Zealand Rugby Union.
Nonu has been in discussions with several NRL clubs, including the Bulldogs, Dragons and Titans, the Daily Telegraph reports.
Nonu visited the Bulldogs and met with coach Des Hasler last month, the paper reports.
His midfield partner for Saturday's test Sonny Bill Williams has already indicated he will join the NRL next season, with the Roosters hotly tipped as his new team.
Nonu, like Williams, is also expected to line up another big-money club contract in Japan, with the approval of the NZRU. The 67-test veteran played for the Ricoh Black Rams following last year's Rugby World Cup.
