A rare treat for the Christchurch rugby club with All Blacks captain Richie McCaw set to turn out for his club side within the next fortnight.
McCaw is on track to be over his knee injury in time for the Bledisloe Cup and Tri-Nations opener against Australia in Auckland on July 18. He will go into camp with the All Blacks later this week is then likely to appear for his club team on the 11th of July.
Christchurch co-coach Dwayne Prendergast says they will see how he comes out the back of the All Blacks training camp.
Prendergast says the next couple of weeks are important for McCaw and if he feels he needs another run after the All Blacks training camp next week then he will play club rugby.
That match will be against Lincoln at Christchurch Park on July 11.
