KEY POINTS:
The All Blacks' loose forward stocks have just got thinner with the announcement that Chris Masoe has signed with French club Castres, AFP reported today.
Masoe, who played his 20th test in the World Cup quarterfinal loss to France last year, has signed a two-year deal with the French Top 14 side.
The Hurricanes flanker did not make this year's All Black squad but was recalled for the opening Tri-Nations matches as cover for injured captain Richie McCaw.
He did not feature in either of the two tests against South Africa and has since been replaced in the squad by Daniel Braid.
