KEY POINTS:
The list of potential replacements for All Blacks captain Richie McCaw at flanker appears to be narrowing.
Auckland's Daniel Braid is unlikely to be in the mix following a leg injury in the Pacific Nations Cup over a week ago which leaves Chris Masoe and Tanerau Latimer as the front-runners to replace McCaw for the Tri-Nations.
However, former All Black flanker Paul Henderson is warning Masoe is not the right option.
He says Masoe was the go-to man last year but feels he makes mistakes and has not had any recent game-time.
Henderson likes the look of 21-year-old Latimer, who has shown impressive form in the Pacific Nations Cup as well as for the Chiefs in the Super 14.
The All Blacks will decide on their replacements for the Tri-Nations over the next few days.
