The new All Black jersey was unveiled yesterday - sort of.
Kit-makers adidas and the NZRU showed their keen knack for the dramatic by announcing the jersey's arrival while keeping the new pullover strictly under wraps. The actual jersey won't be seen until the All Blacks run on the field to face the Springboks in Wellington on July 30.
Halfback Jimmy Cowan - who found himself wearing green for the Highlanders this season - said a change of kit can help.
"I know it's a new jersey, but a lot of it is internal. I've been fortunate enough to play in a new jersey this year with the Highlanders and it felt that way."
Traditionalists will hope there is no Highlander green in the new All Black kit.
