Wing Cory Jane has been ruled out of the All Blacks next end of year tour match against England in London.
Jane left the field midway through the second half of Saturday night's loss to the Wallabies in Hong Kong with a rib injury.
Scans have confirmed no broken bones but All Black team doctor Deb Robinson says Jane has suffered a deep haematoma to his left chest wall.
Surprisingly, given the loss of Sitiveni Sivivatu to the tour as well, the All Blacks selectors have stuck with their decision not to fly over a replacement player meaning Josevata Rokocoko, Hosea Gear and Isaia Toeava battle for the wing spots at Twickenham this week.
