Enid Williams, whose father HB Winfield was fullback in the first New Zealand v Wales match in 1905, yesterday received a gift from current All Black Anton Oliver.
The presentation was part of a community visit ahead of the All Blacks test against Wales on Sunday, NZ time.
Mrs Williams showed Oliver, Leon MacDonald, Piri Weepu and newcomer Isaea Toeava her memorabilia collection at home in Cardiff, including match programmes and dinner menus from the time.
Her most prized item was the gold brooch commemorating the match, looking near new despite its 100 years.
Winfield died soon after World War 1, meaning a young Mrs Williams was then raised by her uncle - captain and centre in the 1905 match Gwyn Nicholls.
Wales beat the All Blacks 3-0 in the only loss of their 1905 35-match epic around Britain, Ireland, France and North America.
Controversy has swirled around the match for the past century, with the All Blacks at the time fuming that what they claimed was a fair try to Bob Deans was disallowed by the Scottish referee to halt their unbeaten record.
