KEY POINTS:
Richard Kahui has been named as a surprise starter on the wing as the All Blacks remain unable to confirm their line-up for Saturday's Tri-Nations and Bledisloe Cup rugby test against Australia here at Eden Park - two days after the squad was originally named.
Kahui, who normally plays at centre, has been promoted from the bench to the right flank after Leon MacDonald's concussion issues forced him to withdraw from the starting 15 yesterday.
Mils Muliaina, initially named on the wing, reverts to fullback while All Blacks management have opted to put Kahui on the wing for the first time in his fledgling international career in favour of Anthony Tuitavake or Rudi Wulf.
Tuitavake has been added to the bench while Wulf has been released to play for North Harbour in this weekend's opening round of the Air NZ Cup.
A decision on who will start at halfback and hooker remains unresolved.
Jimmy Cowan, Piri Weepu and Andy Ellis were bracketed at halfback.
Weepu, brought into the squad as cover on Monday, will be on the bench but there is still doubt over whether Cowan (knee) or Ellis (ribs) will be fit to participate as they continue to nurse injuries sustained during last weekend's 34-19 loss to the Wallabies in Sydney.
First choice hooker Andrew Hore, who sustained a hip injury while scoring one of the All Blacks three tries at ANZ Stadium also remains in doubt.
However he is expected to feature in some capacity with Hikawera Elliot, summoned as cover earlier week, returning to Hawke's Bay.
All Blacks assistant coach Wayne Smith said the injured players would be assessed after training later today and again tomorrow.
The loose forward reserves are the other selection issue, with Daniel Braid and Adam Thomson still bracketed.
Revised All Blacks team:
Mils Muliaina, Richard Kahui, Conrad Smith, Ma'a Nonu, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Dan Carter, Jimmy Cowan/Piri Weepu/Andrew Ellis, Rodney So'oialo, Richie McCaw (captain), Jerome Kaino, Ali Williams, Brad Thorn, Greg Somerville, Andrew Hore/Keven Mealamu, Tony Woodcock.
Reserves: Hore/Mealumu, John Afoa, Anthony Boric, Adam Thomson/Daniel Braid, Cowan/Weepu/Ellis, Stephen Donald, Anthony Tuitavake.
