All Black first five Daniel Carter's progressing as planned two weeks after having surgery on his ankle.
Carter's hoping to play in the ITM Cup next month before the All Blacks Bledisloe Cup test in Hong Kong.
He says the surgeon is happy with where things are at, so he';s about to start more intensive rehab. Carter says he's just come off crutches and plans to start running again within two weeks.
Carter says if he's not able to return in time to play ITM Cup, he's more than confident he can slip straight back into test rugby.
