KEY POINTS:
All Blacks first five-eighth Dan Carter is set to announce details of his sabbatical this evening.
Carter recently re-signed with the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) but was granted the opportunity to take a six-month sabbatical following the All Blacks' end-of-season tour this year.
The deal was set up to allow Carter to experience life overseas while earning the sums of money available in the European leagues and return in time for the 2009 Tri-Nations.
Carter is expected to join a French club, with newly promoted Toulon, Toulouse and Biarritz all linked to the star first five-eighths.
