It's hoped the All Blacks arrival in Dunedin will help boost the interest in this Friday's season-opening test against Fiji at Carisbrook.
While ticket sales have been slow, the All Blacks are planning a number of public activities in the lead-up to the test.
Otago rugby stalwart David Latta says the fans now need to show their support.
David Latta says if Highlanders players Adam Thomson, Jarrad Hoeata and Ben Smith get named to start for the All Blacks, it should excite the locals more.
The All Blacks will train in Dunedin this afternoon.
