Jonah Lomu went from All Black to almost all bronze as he made his competitive bodybuilding debut last night.
Sporting a fake tan and his trademark tattoos, the rugby great competed against three others in the over-90kg novice section at the Wellington Bodybuilding Champs at Victoria University.
Five years after a successful kidney transplant, the former All Black star winger said he had dropped almost 30kg to get back into top shape for the competition.
"I've always loved lifting weights, just ask the All Blacks, so it's been a lot of fun."
The new father hasn't given up on rugby though - he heads to France in November to play for second-division side Marseille Vitrolles.
