The event will be held at Auckland's Vector Arena next Wednesday, August 26, to raise money for iSport Foundation, the sporting charity McCaw and Carter set up with former All Black Ali Williams in 2009.
The foundation helps sportspeople aged 12-18 be the best they can, no matter their circumstances. It helps identify individuals showing talent and provides vital resources, including meeting essential costs such as travel, equipment and competition fees.
The trio founded the charity after their travels around New Zealand showed many schools were struggling to fund even small projects, like buying new uniforms or hoops for a basketball court.
"There's a silent auction with more affordable items ... [for example] a Richie McCaw 2011 World Cup limited edition jersey.
"Moving on to the live auction, there are some really stunning items. There's a trip to Paris including lunch for two with Dan Carter and 12 nights' accommodation, flights included.
"There's also a trip to the Rugby World Cup 2015 final, including two category one tickets, lunch with Ali Williams, flights and 7 nights' accommodation.
"Then we've got a really special one ... which is a helicopter lunch for half a dozen people, with Richie McCaw. He actually flies helicopters, so he'll be sitting alongside the pilot."
We're giving away two tickets for 'Vogel's presents an evening with Richie McCaw, Dan Carter and friends', at Auckland's Vector Arena, next Wednesday, August 26.
The pair will speak live about their journey to the Rugby World Cup at the exclusive black tie event in aid of their iSport Foundation.
Tickets include a VIP pre-dinner cocktail function with celebrities and guests, and a four-course banquet with matching wines and premium beers.
Each ticket is worth more than $400. For more details visit ducoevents.co.nz.
