14 applications for first division

The NZRU has confirmed is has received 28 applications for next year's two new rugby NPC divisions.

14 applications have been lodged for the first division.

They are the 10 current teams, plus Counties-Manukau, Hawke's Bay, Manawatu and Nelson Bays-Marlborough.

A final decision on who makes the cut will be made at the end of next month.
