Rugby: Wallaby fined for drink-driving

Wallaby rugby player Andrew Walker has been slapped with a heavy fine and disqualified from driving for a year after being caught drink-driving near his home last month.

Walker was involved in a car crash in Yass last month and subsequently charged after his Landcruiser hit a power pole on August 24.

In court yesterday Walker was fined A$1500 ($1770) while the ban runs from the date of the incident.
