David Fee scored two first-half tries as the United States beat Chile 35-22 in a rugby World Cup qualifying match in Salt Lake City yesterday.
The United States squad jumped to a 25-3 lead at halftime and were never in danger of losing in the first meeting between the nations, a hard-hitting match before 2075 fans.
Kimball Kjar and Philip Eloff added tries for the Americans, and first five-eighths Mike Hercus scored 15 points with his goalkicking.
