World Cup hopeful Sitiveni Sivivatu will play his rugby for French club Clermont next year.
The 28-year-old wing had been pursued for some time by clubs in Europe and has decided to link up with Clermont for two seasons.
The club is led by former Bay of Plenty and Crusaders coach VernCotter and has a playing rosterwhich includes Sione Lauaki, Ti'i Paulo, Tasesa Lavea and KevinSenio.
Sivivatu was pursued by former All Black halfback Byron Kelleher to join him at Bayonne but complications and uncertainty about that deal meant the All Black wing shifted his gaze to Clermont.
He missed last year's tour to Europe because of injury but has played 43 tests for the All Blacks and is in a lengthy list of those seeking to nail places at this year's World Cup.
It is understood an announcement on Sivivatu's departure will be made today, a week after prop John Afoa revealed he was heading to Ulster next season.
Meanwhile Wallaby centre Adam Ashley-Cooper is shifting his talents to the Waratahs next season.
The 51-test player has been with the Brumbies for six seasons but club disharmony and his wish to be closer to family and friends in Sydney prompted his switch.
