Queensland rugby is in shock following the sudden death of promising Reds utility back Michael Tabrett. The 22-year-old's death came a week after his sister's wedding and just days before his brother's 21st birthday.
"Michael was a popular and very talented member of the Reds squad with a bright future in the game and he was very much part of our plans for next year," Queensland Rugby Union chief executive Theo Psaros said.
Tabrett played for Queensland 11 times and was a former Australia A, under-21 and Australian sevens representative.
