KEY POINTS:
New Zealand has wrapped up another Sevens World Series, in spite of being dumped out of the Cup competition 17-12 in the quarterfinals by England in London.
The New Zealanders won the Plate final, beating South Africa 19-12.
New Zealand coach Gordon Tietjens said it is odd to have wrapped up another world series title in such fashion.
He said it is a funny feeling but he is extremely proud of his young team, many of whom played much more than they expected to due to injuries.
The teams now head to Edinburgh for next weekend's final round of the world series.
