New Zealand has beaten Georgia 26-7 in pool play at the World Cup sevens to back up their 31-12 victory over Canada. They complete their pool matches against the United States later tonight.
Georgia capitalised on a couple of New Zealand missed tackles in the first half but could not create a try until too late in the match.
Veteran Tomasi Cama, one of three New Zealand players to play at the last World Cup in 2009, said the team was disappointed.
"That's a bit of a check-up for us. Yes, we put 26 points on but we set high standards and fell away in the second half. They are mistakes we can fix heading into last game.
"We pride ourselves on our defence but we didn't front enough. The attitude wasn't there from the start. We didn't put enough pressure on them and they came back and scored."
