Taranaki and former Hurricanes halfback Brendan Haami is heading overseas, but hopes to be back for next year's NPC first division season.
A lure to return for Haami, 29, who has signed a short-term contract with English first division club Rotherham, is a match against the touring Lions in New Plymouth on June 8.
"I'll see how things go. I've signed with Rotherham until May and I would like to come back and play for Taranaki after the way the team went this year," he said. "But this is a chance to combine rugby with a bit of OE."
