All Blacks captain Kieran Read will start on the bench for the Crusaders in their Southern derby with the Otago Highlanders in Dunedin on Saturday night.
Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder has made six changes to the side that beat the Waratahs in Christchurch nearly four weeks ago and will be without All Black Owen Franks, while Luke Romano, Corey Flynn and Robbie Fruean all start on the bench.
If Flynn makes it onto the field he will surpass Reuben Thorne as the most capped Crusader with 130 caps.
Locks Tom Donnelly and Sam Whitelock make up the second row while the backs have a more familiar look with Tom Taylor moving to Inside Centre and Ryan Crotty playing outside.
The last time the two sides met was in round ten of the competition and the Crusaders came away with a 24-10 win.
The Crusaders are currently sitting sixth on the table and have three round robin matches left to play.
