KEY POINTS:
Northland prop Bronson Murray has been suspended for two weeks after being found guilty of stamping Taranaki flanker Scott Waldrom in an Air NZ Cup rugby match in New Plymouth last Friday.
Murray, who has been suspended until September 17, will be unavailable for the home match against Canterbury this weekend and against North Harbour on September 16.
Murray told a judiciary hearing in Wellington today his actions were accidental.
He had been impeded by Waldrom as he tried to step over him, causing his left foot to contact the flanker's head.
Judicial officer Bruce Squire QC accepted that Murray's actions were careless rather than deliberate.
In view of his previous good record over a lengthy playing career, he suspended Murray for two weeks.
