Tasman wing James Lowe has signed with the Chiefs for the next two Super Rugby seasons.
The 21-year-old has been snapped up on the back of his outstanding form in this year's ITM Cup.
Chiefs coach Dave Rennie said: ``James is having a great season. He is quick, powerful and adds a point of difference to our backline. He is a quality young man and we are looking forward to working with him.''
Lowe made his debut for the Makos against Canterbury in 2012. He was part of the successful New Zealand schools team that beat Australia in 2010.
Meanwhile, a Hurricanes spokeswoman confirmed this morning (thurs) that Auckland skipper Hadleigh Parkes had signed with the Wellington-based franchise.
