He's the 'next great half' according to NRL pundit Matty Johns, but the Warriors aren't interested in signing Ash Taylor.
The Warriors are searching for a number six for 2018 and onwards to replace the one season and done Kieran Foran who is off to the Bulldogs next year.
With halfback Shaun Johnson signed on for another three seasons, the Warriors are out to find the Kiwis seven a halves partner.
Warriors coach Stephen Kearney told the Martin Devlin Radio Show this week that the 22-year-old Taylor was not on the club's radar but they should be naming a signing in the next few weeks.
"From our point of view we were always looking at options and we've been that over the last month or so. We do have a couple of options, we're just working through that process now. I'm sure those options will reveal themselves over the next few weeks."
