Warriors wing Tui Lolohea is keen to keep his torn jersey from Sunday's thrilling golden point win over the Roosters but has to wait for it to be examined by Canterbury clothing as they look into why it ripped so easily.
With his torn jersey flapping around his neck and shoulders, Lolohea provided the spark for the Warriors' 32-28 win at Gosford when he climbed high to defuse a Roosters attacking bomb before tearing downfield in a jinking run that took him over the halfway line.
The 21-year-old speed merchant evaded a number of defenders before he found Warriors' fullback Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in support, delivering a well-timed inside pass for the No1 to accept before he fended off Shaun Kenny-Dowall's attempted tackle to run in and score the match-winning try.
Lolohea asked if he could keep the jersey as a memento of the memorable victory but will have to wait to receive it after Warriors management sent the shirt to their clothing provider for closer inspection.
"It got ripped late in the second half," Lolohea said.
