The Warriors will pack their bags for Australia this week having settled a few nerves and answered a few questions; however their two-match swing through Sydney and Canberra will still be a journey of discovery.
In consecutive road matches against the Roosters and Raiders, they will learn whether the improved start and vastly better edge defence they displayed in Saturday night's win over the Titans is the new normal or merely another step on an uneven road.
The Brian McClennan era has got off to a good(ish) start. The wins against strugglers Gold Coast and Parramatta were nothing more than what was expected, while the losses to heavyweights Canterbury and Manly were disappointing but showed glimpses of real promise.
A 2-2 record is about right for this team. The next fortnight represents a significant chance to make a move - in either direction.
The Warriors - more than likely with Sam Rapira in tow - will head to Australia on Thursday and remain there until after the Raiders match on Sunday week. "It is going to be great to go into camp together. I think it is timely," McClennan said.
