The Warriors have denied any contractual deadline could jeopardise the club's signing of Kieran Foran and remain confident the deal will be approved by the NRL to allow him to play at Mt Smart next season.
Foran last month signed a one-year contract to join the Warriors in 2017 as he looked for a fresh start following a turbulent season that saw him quit the game and walk away from a multi-million dollar deal with Parramatta.
The deal still requires the approval of the NRL and the former Kiwis international is due to front the integrity unit in the coming weeks, needing to provide evidence he has dealt with mental issues that saw him spend time earlier this year in a Brisbane rehabilitation clinic.
The 26-year-old also must address questions over his association with controversial gambling identity Eddie Hayson but Foran has said he was prepared to end the relationship if the NRL ordered him to.
Doyle today confirmed the club were working through a process with the NRL to get Foran's contract approved and dismissed reports out of Australia claiming the Warriors had a get-out clause if he was not cleared to play by December.
