Warriors winger Manu Vatuvei is a 50-50 chance to play in the team's NRL match against the Broncos on Friday night. Vatuvei is nursing a hamstring strain from the weekend's loss to the Titans.
There is better news for Lance Hohaia, whose scan on his shin has revealed no fracture so he should be fine to play.
If you believe in the glass being half full, the Warriors are just three points behind the teams from fifth to ninth on the NRL ladder after round 16.
If the glass is half empty, the Warriors are five points from the bottom of the table.
The Dragons, Bulldogs and Titans share the lead on 24 points, three clear of the Storm, who have been beaten 26-16 by the Raiders in Canberra. The Eels have joined the Warriors on 15 points with their 21-14 home win over the Broncos.
The Junior Warriors have moved to fifth on the table but are about to lose wingers Thomas Ah Van and Bill Tupou to injury ahead of the match with the seventh-placed Broncos. Between them the wingers have scored 52 tries in 64 appearances for the Junior Warriors.
