Blockbusting New Zealand Warriors wing Manu Vatuvei makes his long awaited comeback to the National Rugby League today against the Gold Coast Titans here at Skilled Park.
Vatuvei will play his first match since suffering a knee injury in the season-opening game against Parramatta on March 12.
He replaces Kevin Locke who will start at fullback, with Lance Hohaia, one of four Warriors backing up from last Friday's Anzac test at the same venue, dropping to the interchange bench.
Captain Simon Mannering, Lewis Brown and Ben Matulino are the other Kiwis in action. Prop Sam Rapira was ruled out after suffering a thumb injury in the opening minute of the trans-Tasman international.
Rapira, who is replaced by Russell Packer, will be sidelined for up to six weeks while Jeremy Latimore is promoted to the bench.
Hooker Aaron Heremaia has returned to Auckland for personal reasons but will rejoin the squad for next Sunday's trip to Newcastle.
Heremaia's absence allows Alehana Mara to make his first start at hooker after six appearances off the bench.
