Sam and Steve Rapira are both set to miss the start of the 2012 NRL season after picking up injuries in the Warriors' 22-14 trial win over South Sydney in Coffs Harbour last night.
Front rower Sam left the field with a shoulder injury while his younger brother was forced off with an ankle complaint.
Team doctor John Mayhew confirmed Sam Rapira has an AC problem which is likely to sideline him for four to six weeks while Steve Rapira is expected to be out of action for the same length of time with a high ankle sprain.
The Warriors are travelling home today (Sunday) having won each of their NRL trials against the Gold Coast Titans and the Rabbitohs.
Next Saturday they meet Queensland Cup side Sunshine Coast at Toll Stadium in Whangarei (5pm kick-off). The Junior Warriors play the Auckland Vulcans in the early trial (3pm kick-off).
