Hull say former New Zealand international Frank Pritchard has re-affirmed his commitment to them after rejecting last-minute efforts to keep him in the NRL.
The Super League club announced the capture of the 32-year-old Canterbury Bulldogs forward on a two-year contract - with the option of a third season - in June but the Warriors are believed to have stepped in with a late offer.
Hull moved on Thursday to halt the speculation, insisting the player will fly to England next week to launch his new career at the KC Stadium.
In a statement issued by the club, Pritchard said: "I will be heading over there next week and I'm really looking forward to it."
"It's flattering that there may have been some interest elsewhere but I'm a man of my word and will see out my commitment."
