An extended break between games has been a blessing for Warriors five-eighth Kieran Foran as he continues to manage a nagging hamstring injury going into their Anzac Day NRL clash against Melbourne Storm.
Foran's playing future has been the subject of intense media speculation over the past week but the Kiwi international's health has been an ongoing concern for the Warriors since he suffered a hamstring strain during the warm-up to the round four loss to St George Illawarra last month.
Despite being less than fully fit, the in-demand playmaker returned after almost a year away from the game to star in consecutive wins over the Gold Coast and Parramatta before a more subdued outing in last week's defeat to Canberra.
The 26-year-old took the field at GIO Stadium with his left leg heavily strapped but was rarely sighted in general play and appeared unable to stretch out on the few occasions he did run the ball.
The Warriors 10-day turnaround has provided some welcome relief before Tuesday's AAMI Park match against the Storm, with coach Stephen Kearney confirming Foran's injury is being carefully managed week to week.
