The women's Warriors have gone down in their NRL Women's Premiership opener, falling 28-14 to the defending champion Brisbane Broncos.
The Warriors started strongly with two tries in the first 10 minutes to take an 8-0 lead, but from there it was all Brisbane, who crossed five times in the next 30 minutes to storm into a 28-8 advantage.
The Warriors crossed with 10 minutes remaining but it was far too late. With the regular season consisting of just three games, a quick turnaround is required if the Warriors are to have a hope of making it to the final for the first time.
In the other clash, the Roosters beat the Dragons 18-4.
