The New Zealand Warriors have announced a press conference at Eden Park today, a hint that they will play at the home of rugby next season.
The newly refurbished ground played host to rugby's rival code early this month in an international double header featuring the Kiwis playing the Kangaroos.
The game attracted more than 44,000 people but Australia's 34-20 victory over New Zealand was overshadowed by crowd problems when bottles were thrown onto the ground.
There is speculation that the Warriors debut on Eden Park will be next season's first round clash against the Parramatta Eels.
The Warriors' current home ground Mt Smart Stadium has is set to host Irish rockers U2 later this week, with preparation for the two concerts forcing the side to begin their preseason training at North Harbour Stadium.
The idea of the Warriors playing games at Eden Park next season, and possibly moving to the ground for good, was reported in the Herald on Sunday in August.
