Alex Johnston's try-scoring binge at ANZ Stadium ended in pain, as South Sydney crushed the Warriors 36-18 on Friday.
Johnston crossed three times to take his haul to 22 for the season, but limped off the field with a right hamstring injury, as he completed his hat-trick.
He now has 17 tries in just seven games at ANZ Stadium, handing the flyer a place in history.
It breaks Phil Blake's NRL record for most tries in seven matches at a venue. The league legend, who ironically spent time with Souths and the Auckland Warriors, scored 15 tries in seven matches at Brookvale Oval, across the 1982/1983 seasons.
Blake would go on to score 27 tries that year.
