Warriors fullback Brent Webb is expected to be cleared to play against Souths at Ericsson Stadium tomorrow provided he gets through the last run this morning.
Souths have included huge second-rower Manase Manuokafoa in their squad.
The 108kg Manuokafoa is a Souths junior and comes out of their Jersey Flegg team, but is 18th man and will play only if injury intervenes.
The Rabbitohs fly in this morning and go straight to Cornwall Park for a run to start about 1pm.
More composure and fewer "silly penalties" are on the Warriors' wish-list.
Both sides have won just once in the first three rounds, with the Warriors blaming a lack of killer instinct for home defeats to Manly and North Queensland.
As was the case against Manly, the Warriors were in contention until the final stages against the Cowboys last weekend, leaving coach Tony Kemp to rue another game that "got away from us".
Kemp accepted the view that his team weren't yet able to finish off opponents in close contests.
"That's pretty accurate," he said.
"It's a learning curve for us. It's about composure and also about discipline."
After conceding 12 penalties in their round-two win away to Brisbane and then 11 against North Queensland last Sunday, Kemp agreed his players had to improve their discipline.
"You can't build pressure when you're forever going backwards," he said.
"We just can't keep giving away silly penalties. We've spoken about discipline. I'm pretty sure we'll address it."
The Warriors will field unfamiliar three-quarter combinations on both sides of the pitch.
Junior Kiwi Simon Mannering, 18, makes his NRL debut in place of test centre Clinton Toopi, who has been dropped to the bench in his 100th first-grade appearance.
On the right, another youngster, winger Manu Vatuvei, partners Todd Byrne, who has been moved to centre.
The pair operated in tandem last weekend, when 19-year-old Vatuvei came off the bench and Byrne shifted in from his usual position of wing.
* The NZRL has advised Super League clubs that have Kiwi prospects on their books that English-based players are being considered for the Anzac test in Brisbane on April 22.
Hooker, halfback and bench utility are again likely to be the areas of concern, with Thomas Leuluai and Robbie Paul in the frame.
Ali Lauitiiti and Vinnie Anderson have been playing well in Super League.
Most of those will turn out on the Saturday preceding the Friday night test and will not arrive in Australia until Tuesday morning, although Lauitiiti plays on Friday night in England.
Kiwis coach Daniel Anderson said he had no qualms about having those who have been involved in recent campaigns stepping in late.
He also said he wouldn't have worries if the selectors stuck with Ruben Wiki as captain, despite him not playing for the four weeks before the test because of suspension.
The Kiwis name a wider squad on April 12. The 18 announced after round five of the NRL will go into camp on the Gold Coast from April 17.
