A top Sydney rugby league writer is adamant the Warriors are actively chasing the services of Anthony Mundine.
Warriors CEO Mick Watson has publicly denied the club has had any discussions with the former St George star, turned pro boxer.
Mundine is looking to return to rugby league after his next world middleweight title fight.
The bout has been put off for several weeks, with his Danish opponent injuring his back in training. Some sources are saying the fight could be cancelled altogether.
Sydney Morning Herald league writer Brad Walter says Mundine could be heading to Auckland this weekend for more talks.
He says the Warriors and Mundine's management have had discussions and people should look out for Mundine at the game against Penrith this weekend.
Walter says the St George-Illawarra Steelers would be the favourite to secure Mundine's services.
