Wayne Scurrah was today named as the new chief executive of the New Zealand Warriors.
He will replace Mick Watson who announced last month he would be leaving.
Scurrah, 45, has been North Harbour Stadium's general manager since June 2001.
Scurrah has worked alongside the Warriors, New Zealand Rugby league and Bartercard Cup side North Harbour Tigers.
"I've had an association with them on a commercial basis through ventures involving North harbour Stadium," he said.
In his younger days he played rugby league for various Auckland clubs.
Warriors management did not confirm when Scurrah's appointment would take effect.
