Stalwart Steve Price will be around to guide the young Warriors side for a fifth season after extending his contract with the club at the weekend.
That gives him the chance to overtake the all-time premiership appearance record jointly held by Manly's Steve Menzies and Terry Lamb, who played for Wests and Canterbury.
Price, 35 last March, is already the oldest player in the NRL and yesterday's match against St George was his 305th game and 84rd for the Warriors since 2005.
"I can't say enough about how happy I have been here. I believe we've been building really well as a club and I think we're in a good space now. That had a lot to do with my desire to keep playing," he said.
Statistics to the end of round seven showed he was the competition's second-best player in terms of average metres (167.4 a game) and runs (19.2 a game) with only Newcastle fullback Kurt Gidley ahead of him on both charts (167.9 and 20.6).
Hooker Ian Henderson and prop Evarn Tuimavave are the last two top-side regulars yet to be retained but deals are expected with both.
The Warriors under-20s side started too slowly and conceded an 18-0 lead to their Dragons counterparts at Wollongong yesterday before showing their skills with three good tries but the home team was never headed in a 30-14 victory.
