League: Price out for eight weeks

Warriors captain Steve Price is facing about eight weeks on the sidelines after tearing his left hamstring in Monday night's clash against Melbourne.

Price, 34, who was forced off the field after just 17 minutes of his 289th career match, had scans yesterday before being further assessed by team doctor John Mayhew. He said Price had a significant tear high up on his left hamstring and faced about eight weeks out of action.

Former Kiwis skipper Ruben Wiki will take over as captain.
