A major boost for the Warriors in their battle to make the NRL playoffs, with captain Steve Price expected back from his knee injury sooner than first thought.
The Kangaroo prop says he is about two weeks away so if training goes well he will play against the Raiders at home in round 20.
Price says he has seen his specialist, Barry Tietjens, and pleaded for a quick return after making rapid improvement, trying desperately to play against his old club the Bulldogs on Sunday.
He says he asked his specialist if he could play this weekend but Tietjens laughed at him and he was told "no chance mate".
Price said he will take his training up a level and he needs to get through contact sessions in good condition, before seeing Tietjens again in two weeks.
The Warriors need around five wins from their last eight games to make the playoffs, with Price now likely to be there for six of those games.
