League: Moimoi gets 7-week ban

Parramatta's New Zealand-raised prop Fuifui Moimoi pleaded guilty to a reckless high tackle charge today and has been suspended for seven weeks by the National Rugby League (NRL) Judiciary.

Moimoi was sent off in the Eels' win over Manly last Saturday night for his high 50th minute tackle on Sea Eagles prop Brent Kite.

Faced with a possible 10 week ban if he unsuccessfully fought the charge, the Eels prop is now unavailable until the second week of the NRL finals.

New Zealand Warriors prop Ruben Wiki also entered an early guilty plea today for his careless high tackle charge.

Wiki will miss just the one match, against the Sharks at Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday night.
