KEY POINTS:
New Zealand Warriors centre Tony Martin has signed a two-year deal with English Super League team, Wakefield, beginning next year.
The Australian, 28, has had two spells with the London Broncos and also won a National Rugby League (NRL) grand final with Melbourne Storm.
Martin has landed 34 goals in 20 appearances for the Warriors, but has lost the goal-kicking job at the club to first five-eighth Michael Witt.
Martin has also been squeezed out, with Queensland and Australian centre Brent Tate, 25, poised to join the Warriors later this year to the end of the 2010 NRL season.
Tate's sister, Jo, is married to Warriors captain Steve Price.
Wakefield coach John Kear said Martin's past record indicated consistency, quality and leadership "and these are exactly the reasons why we have recruited him".
